# Barcelona: Many fans have been swooning over Arthur

**Arthur’s strike against Villarreal really was something special, and for more than the fact it helped to earn a 2-1 victory for Barcelona.**

The 23-year-old took two touches to get the ball out of his feet and set himself, before firing a thunderous strike into the top corner from range, leaving Sergio Asenjo pretty much no chance of stopping it, as shown in the highlights video on the [**LaLiga**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdgdONp5LW0) YouTube channel.

Barcelona’s [**official Twitter account**](https://twitter.com/FCBarcelona/status/1176606417928802307) has tweeted out an appreciation post about the strike:

The Brazilian was named as Barca’s best player for the game by [**WhoScored**](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1394177/Live/Spain-LaLiga-2019-2020-Barcelona-Villarreal) with a rating of 7.9, having completed 90% of his attempted passes, made 3 successful dribbles and won 3 tackles.
