# Barcelona ready to move in on €30m Chelsea target despite Blues bid

**Chelsea’s transfer activity may well have been lost amid the Manchester circus going on in the Premier League these days, though the Blues in the Tavern are scouring the net for rumours and reports.**

The West London giants are [understood](https://esporte.uol.com.br/futebol/ultimas-noticias/2016/07/13/juventus-oferece-r-30-milhoes-a-mais-que-chelsea-e-seduz-gabigol-e-santos.htm) to have submitted a [€30m](https://esporte.uol.com.br/futebol/ultimas-noticias/2016/07/13/juventus-oferece-r-30-milhoes-a-mais-que-chelsea-e-seduz-gabigol-e-santos.htm) for Santos forward Gabriel Barbosa, one of the most highly rated talents in Brazilian football.

As the striker gears up for the Olympic Games, the 19-year old remains hot property this summer with both Juventus and Inter Milan also [believed](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1528714/inter-milan-latest-team-who-want-gabriel-barbosa-after-juventus-bid-but-he-wants-barcelona/) to be keen.

However, European heavyweights Barcelona are [reportedly](https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2016/08/01/579f02d1ca474180558b4582.html) ready to throw their hats into the ring.

The *Blaugrana* are [said](https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2016/08/01/579f02d1ca474180558b4582.html) to have a clause with the Brazilian club that affords them first refusal on the Samba star, due to an arrangement agreed when they brought Neymar to the Camp Nou in 2013.

While Spanish outlet *[Marca](https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2016/08/01/579f02d1ca474180558b4582.html)* claim the La Liga champions are not likely to enter a bidding war with the Premier League titans, their pulling power with South American talents could scupper any deal taking him to England.

**Will Barbosa prove to be worth the hype? Let us know below….**
