Chelsea’s 2025/26 season has started with a bang.
After a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace on opening day, the Blues roared to life with a 5-1 demolition of West Ham, where summer signing João Pedro stole the show.
Pedro opened his Premier League account with a poacher’s header, following up on his three goals at the FIFA Club World Cup, and also set up Pedro Neto with a brilliant assist. Chelsea looked sharp, dynamic, and full of attacking promise.
However, not everyone at Stamford Bridge has been basking in the early-season glow. Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea’s first-choice striker over the past two seasons, has been told he is now surplus to requirements.
After reportedly requesting a move two weeks ago, the Senegalese forward has seemingly found his next destination.
Bayern Agree Jackson Loan

According to German outlet BILD, Bayern Munich have agreed a season-long loan for Jackson from Chelsea.
Personal terms with the Senegalese striker have reportedly been finalised, with his management currently in London to help wrap up the deal. He could be en route to Germany as early as tomorrow.
Chelsea and Bayern are now negotiating the finer details, with the Blues reportedly pushing to include an obligation to buy as part of the arrangement. Jackson, who was once described as “important” by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, still has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033. Despite this, Bayern have moved quickly to secure the forward after their initial target, Nick Woltemade, failed to materialise.
The 22-year-old Jackson will become Bayern Munich’s second Premier League signing this summer, following Luis Díaz’s arrival from Liverpool.
The move gives the striker a fresh start in a club competing for Bundesliga and Champions League honors, while Chelsea can focus on their growing attacking roster — now stacked with the likes of João Pedro, Jamies Gittens, Liam Delap, and the impending arrivals of Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho.
