# ‘Better than Sergio Ramos’ – Liverpool fans are loving 28-year-old’s World Cup performances

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are keeping up to date with all of the action featuring their side’s players in the World Cup.***

The Reds enjoyed a fantastic term last season, with a flurry of players enjoying brilliant performances, and their fine displays earned them roles with their respective teams this summer – provided that they qualified.

One such player was Dejan Lovren. He arguably didn’t have the best season, but he was good enough to earn a spot on the plane with Croatia, and he’s played a crucial role so far in the tournament.

His best display yet came on Thursday against Argentina, with the 28-year-old delivering a resolute, unstoppable and commanding performance.

[Liverpool were quick to celebrate his performance on Thursday, drawing attention in particular to the fact that he and his team have secured two clean sheets in two games.](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1009887575060992000)

Liverpool fans were just as quick to respond, too, and it’s fair to say that they’re full of praise for Loven.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
