# Celtic: Journalist reacts to Bosun Lawal return

**Celtic journalist [Lewis Laird](https://twitter.com/lewislaird01/status/1500160608091754496?s=21) has been reacting to Bosun Lawal’s return from injury over the weekend.**

### The Lowdown: Lawal’s absence

Lawal joined the Hoops in the summer from Watford, with the Glasgow club [pipping](https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/19449447.celtic-confirm-bosun-lawal-signing-watford-beat-chelsea-norwich-youngster/) the likes of Chelsea, Fulham and Norwich City to his services.

As we know, the teenager is [yet to feature](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bosun-lawal/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/724540) under Ange Postecoglou and has been out injured since [November](https://twitter.com/LewisLaird01/status/1498419003122978823).

He was [spotted](https://twitter.com/LewisLaird01/status/1498419003122978823) at the end of February doing some individual work and has now made a return to action, [starring](https://www.67hailhail.com/news/celtic-b-draw-derby-vs-rivals-as-18-year-old-stands-out-from-the-crowd/) in a 1-1 draw with Celtic’s arch-rivals Rangers in the Glasgow Cup.

### The Latest: Laird reacts

Laird, who covers all things Celtic-related, reacted [via Twitter](https://twitter.com/lewislaird01/status/1500160608091754496?s=21) following the B team’s 1-1 draw with Rangers on Saturday.

He posted: “Thought it was a good display from Celtic this afternoon, unfortunate not to come away with first 3 points in the Glasgow Cup. Great to see Bosun Lawal back and playing 90 minutes after a long spell out”.

### The Verdict: Good news

Lawal appears to be a star of the future, with Celtic chiefs [believing](https://theathletic.com/3096158/2022/03/01/dane-murray-the-young-leader-against-midtjylland-it-was-how-he-played-at-u10s-he-never-looks-under-pressure/?article_source=search&search_query=celtic) that they may already have a future first-team centre-back partnership on their hands in Lawal and Dane Murray.

Hopefully, the 18-year-old can now remain injury-free and feature regularly alongside Murray in the B team, looking to catch Postecoglou’s eye in the process.

The Hoops manager isn’t afraid to rely on the youth, as he showed with [Murray](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dane-murray/leistungsdaten/spieler/662932) earlier in the season against FC Midtjylland, and if Lawal impresses over the coming months, he may be given a serious chance to impress for the first team in pre-season.
