**Some Everton fans have been left reacting to some news on their proposed new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.**

Writing in his latest piece for [The Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-new-stadium-45m-21593407), Phil Kirkbride has now revealed that the new ground could receive £45m in local government funding.

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority have proposed to offer a £15m grant and a £30m loan for works linked to plans for the stadium, and local leaders will now consider the proposals next Friday.

The £15m grant would be used towards meeting infrastructure costs and preserving heritage assets around the new site, while the £30m loan would go towards overall costs of the project.
