# Michael Bridge: Porto are the club that still want Rangers star Morelos

**Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge believes that Porto are the club that still want Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.**

Portuguese outlet [A Bola](https://www.abola.pt/Nnh/Noticias/Ver/896402) reported earlier this month that there were talks between Porto and the players agent, with a €12million proposal plus another €5million in add-ons being discussed.

Morelos joined Rangers in [2017](https://aws.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/morelos-delighted-join/) and has scored [94 goals in 182 games](https://www.transfermarkt.com/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/338962/plus/0?saison=&verein=124&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) for the Gers, helping the club to lift the Scottish Premiership last season.

With much speculation about the Colombian striker’s future, Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge told Transfer Tavern: *“I think Porto are the club that still want him.”*

The 25-year-old has been with his national side at the Copa America this summer, where Colombia came from behind to beat Peru 3-2 in the [third-place playoff](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTdLQ5iN4uw).

After Scottish Premiership title success last season, manager Steven Gerrard has already moved to strengthen his Rangers squad this summer signing [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/glasgow-rangers/transfers/verein/124) players, with Fashion Sakala, Nnamdi Ofoborh and John Lundstram all having made the move to Ibrox.

Rangers begin the defence of their [Scottish Premiership title](https://www.skysports.com/rangers-fixtures) at home to Livingston on Saturday 31st July, before travelling to Malmo FF on Tuesday 3rd August, for the UEFA Champions League third Qualifying round first leg.
