As per [Chronicle Live](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bruno-guimaraes-injury-brazil-newcastle-25083178), the 24-year-old missed Brazil’s friendly against Ghana on Friday due to a thigh problem. As a result, the Magpies star sought treatment in the team hotel, with the national team deciding to opt against risking an injury.

Guimaraes had previously suffered from a [hamstring injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bruno-guimaraes/verletzungen/spieler/520624) for Newcastle prior to the international break, so fears arose when news emerged of the midfielder having sustained a fresh problem whilst playing for his country.
