Burnley have joined a list of 10 clubs who are keen on Charlton Athletic striker Lyle Taylor, according to a latest report by Sky Sports News.

Taylor has had a good season with the Addicks so far, netting an impressive 11 goals in 22 Championship games.

Having joined Charlton in 2018 from AFC Wimbledon, the Greenwich-born striker also played an important part in the club's rise to the Championship via the League One play-off final last term where they beat Sunderland, with 22 goals in their promotion campaign.

Amid the impending return of the Championship season, Taylor has been in the headlines recently after refusing to return to play for the club, and the 30-year-old will now leave Charlton this summer on a free transfer.

A whole host of clubs have now shown interest in the striker with Scottish Premiership side Rangers keen to make a move, whilst the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Bristol City, Brentford and Turkish side Sivasspor are all interested in submitting a contract offer.

Burnley, who sit 10th in the Premier League, will be looking to add depth to their squad next term as boss Sean Dyche looks to improve further on their impressive season so far.

Signing Taylor would be a shrewd move by Burnley, but with the likes of Rangers showing interest and able to offer European football, Sean Dyche's side would have to fend off some very strong competition to land him.

Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard will look to do everything to stop Celtic from securing a 10th straight league title next term and, with Taylor having already played in Scotland with Patrick Thistle and Falkirk, he may see it as a good move.

Taylor's shock decision not to play again for Charlton is quite something, given the Addicks' current battle to avoid relegation to League One. It's a situation which Burnley will hope to exploit to their advantage over the summer.
