# Burnley: Jurgen Klopp calls Sean Dyche’s team a “results machine” ahead of Liverpool clash

**Burnley have been lauded as a “results machine” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of the teams’ Premier League clash at Anfield tomorrow.**

The Merseysiders have already wrapped up the league title and are now hunting down a [divisional points record](https://www.premierleague.com/news/1561869#:~:text=Most%20points%20won%20over%2038,in%202018%20and%202005%20respectively.), although the German isn’t looking beyond the test that the Clarets could pose this weekend.

As per [Lancashire Live](https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-vs-burnley-jurgen-klopp-18571899), Klopp said: “When I think about the next four opponents, I cannot think we will get 10 or 12 points, I cannot do that. We play against Burnley and they are a results machine, obviously. They will come to us and they will fight with all they have so we have to do so as well.

“After that we play Arsenal in a really good moment and then Chelsea in a really good moment, how could I assume we will get all these points? So from now on, I think only about the Burnley game.”

Burnley travel to Anfield on an impressive run of form, with [three wins from their last four](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-burnley/spielplan/verein/1132) matches and only [one defeat from their last 12 Premier League games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-burnley/spielplan/verein/1132) putting them within [three points of the top six](https://www.premierleague.com/tables). Liverpool, for all their [exceptional results this season](https://www.premierleague.com/tables), have [lost two of their last six matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplan/verein/31) in the league.

Dyche can also take heart from some of his team’s previous performances against the Reds. The Clarets may have [lost their last four meetings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/burnley-fc/bilanzdetail/verein/1132/wettbewerb_id/GB1/gegner_id/31/saison_id//heim_gast//datum_von/-/datum_bis/-/day/0/land_id/0) against the current champions but they took the lead both [home](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46367299) and [away](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/47431203) against Klopp’s men last season. Dyche also masterminded a [draw for Burnley at Anfield](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41210051) in 2017 and [got the better of his German counterpart](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37067882) when they first faced each other at Turf Moor four years ago.

Liverpool have been difficult to read since they were confirmed as champions two weeks ago. They were [thumped 4-0 at Manchester City](https://www.skysports.com/football/man-city-vs-liverpool/408297) before recording wins over Aston Villa and Brighton. They were [laboured](https://www.skysports.com/football/liverpool-vs-a-villa/408304) against Dean Smith’s relegation-threatened side and, after [scoring twice in the first eight minutes](https://www.skysports.com/football/brighton-vs-liverpool/408314) at the Amex Stadium, allowed the Seagulls to have [12 shots against them](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53283275).

Klopp may be in charge of the best team in the country right now but he is still wise enough to expect a tough challenge from in-form Burnley, who have given Liverpool plenty to think about in recent meetings.

His pre-match comments are in stark contract to David Moyes’ ill-fated observation that the Clarets might be “[not that interested](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/fixtures-results/every-word-david-moyes-said-18556728?_ga=2.142457014.569653617.1593981589-1194075882.1560761803)” in their midweek game against West Ham before they went to London and [won 1-0](https://www.skysports.com/football/west-ham-vs-burnley/408320).

Therefore, Burnley fans could well be appreciative of the respect being paid to them by the manager of the [runaway champions](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) compared to the dismissive remarks of a man in charge of a team still [battling for their Premier League lives](https://www.premierleague.com/tables).
