He has ranked highly among his team-mates in terms of average tackles, blocks, passes and crosses per game this season ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/teams/306/show/scotland-rangers)), and his ability to play at [both](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/calvin-bassey/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/461883/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) left-back and as a central defender has really helped the team, especially considering that they got to the final of both the Scottish Cup and the UEFA Europa League.

Bassey is a key player for the team, so the Gers will surely want to keep him at all costs.
