# ‘Can he replace Smalling?’ – Man United fans react as club confirm agreement with youngster

**The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have praised their club’s U18 star Largie Ramazani, who signed his first professional deal with the club today, as confirmed by the club’s [official Twitter feed](https://twitter.com/ManUtd/status/976462192584380417). The youngster is just the latest player on the long list of young stars who have come through at Manchester United as the club continues its policy of promoting youth.**

The name Largie Ramazani won’t be one on the lips of the Manchester United fans just yet though, as the youngster no doubt faces a difficult path before he gets a chance at the top level. However, the youngster is in the right place for it as Manchester United continue to be one of the biggest clubs in the world. The Red Devils behind our bar have a number of promising players coming through their ranks in Scott McTominay and Angel Gomes and Ramazani is just another one to get excited about.

In the short-term United fans have the Premier League and FA Cup on their minds as they look to end their season on a high. After being embarrassed by Sevilla in the Champions League, Jose Mourinho will be looking to overcome Spurs in the last four of the FA Cup and confirm his side’s place in next season’s Champions League with a top-four finish this season. The United fans will be hoping for silverware but a spot in the Champions League is the minimum expected of the Old Trafford faithful.

Here’s our resident Red Devils’ verdict on the youngster:
