# Wolves: Fans laud Carles Alena transfer update

**Many Wolves fans have been left to laud a transfer update involving Carles Alena.**

As per [Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/premier-quiere-reclutar-alena-11806017), the Midlands club are interested in signing the FC Barcelona ace in the summer window, while Valencia, Granada and Getafe are also in the race for his signature.

What has really grabbed the attention of the Molineux faithful though is that he is available for a mere €8m (£6.9m), a bargain price for the rising 23-year-old star.

Alena spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Getafe and showed a lot of promise, scoring two goals and making a further two assists in 22 La Liga matches while also showing his added ability to play in a number of different roles ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/carles-alena/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/284854/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=3709&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Nonetheless, to get him for just £6.9m could turn out to be an absolute steal, providing that the Wanderers can fend off their competition.
