# Everton: Carlo Ancelotti plays down possible exit for Moise Kean

**Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down a possible transfer exit from Goodison Park for Moise Kean.**

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Merseyside club’s fourth Premier League game of the 2020/21 season against Graham Potter’s Brighton and Hove Albion this afternoon, the Italian coach said (via Phil Kirkbride’s official [Twitter](https://twitter.com/philkecho/status/1312008374712705030) page):

*“He has a future in Everton. The club made a big, big investment on him. This week he was not well so didn’t train. He will not be in the squad tomorrow for this reason.”*

Indeed, the Toffees spent a sizeable [£24.75m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/transfers/spieler/364135) to sign Kean from Juventus in the 2019/20 summer transfer window, but he has not been able to settle in well since his big-money move.

The Italy international has only managed to score four goals and provide a further two assists in 37 games in all competitions for the Blues so far, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/364135/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=).

With the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison as options up front for Ancelotti at the moment, Kean has [fallen down the pecking order](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/leistungsdaten/spieler/364135), and it has recently been [reported](https://twitter.com/FourthOfficial_/status/1311989901685121024)that both PSG and his former club Juventus have [made loan offers](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-split-as-psg-and-juventus-make-loan-offers-for-moise-kean/) for the striker.

However, it seems as if Ancelotti would like to keep Kean at Goodison Park given that he said that he has a future with the club.

At just 20 years of age, the Italian striker should still have a bright future ahead of him and there is plenty of time in his career to develop and grow as a footballer.

Just how long he stays at Everton, though, is another question at this moment in time, but it seems as if Ancelotti certainly has plans for Kean in the future.
