# Celtic ace reveals he wants to be ‘second Pogba’, talks Premier League ambition

**Celtic fans have only seen fleeting glimpses of Eboue Kouassi since his winter arrival in Glasgow, but there’s certainly a bit of a buzz surrounding the Ivorian midfielder here in the Transfer Tavern, with punters in the Bhoys’ booth often chatting about the 19-year-old.**

Snapped up from FC Krasnodar in Russia, the teenager is seen as a player for the future, with Brendan Rodgers easing him into his Hoops squad, only granting him two substitute appearances so far – one in the Premiership and the other in the Scottish Cup.

Prior to his arrival, Kouassi was compared to Paul Pogba due to his athleticism and technique, and speaking to [Izvestia](https://izvestia.ru/news/673156), the Celtic No.88 has revealed that he would like to emulate the Manchester United man:

“We are similar in appearance and style. I think if I work hard, I can make comparisons with this player.

“Perhaps then I will be the ‘second Pogba’.

“It is possible \[I can reach Pogba’s level\]. You just need to work hard and make great efforts to respect football.”

Kouassi also spoke of his talks with team-mate, and compatriot, Kolo Toure about the Premier League and what he needs to do to earn a move to an English club:

“He said that it is a very difficult tournament. If I want to play there, I need to put in a lot of work on my game.

“Only then I will have a chance to be in the Premier League.”
