# Celtic: Ange Postecoglou to snub any Brighton approach

**[Celtic](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/celtic-news/) manager Ange Postecoglou has [reportedly](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/9444135/ange-postecoglou-not-interested-brighton-manager-celtic/) decided to snub any approach from Brighton & Hove Albion.**

### The Lowdown: Brighton rumours

There has been speculation regarding Postecoglou’s future at Parkhead after Graham Potter left Brighton for Chelsea last week. The Seagulls are now on the hunt for a new manager, with Postecoglou thought to be a [‘key target’](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/celtic-news/brighton-manager-news-postecoglou-spfl/).

However, it looks as if the Australian has made a call on his immediate future that will hopefully end speculation ahead of the Hoops’ Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow evening.

### The Latest: Postecoglou ‘not interested’

[The Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/9444135/ange-postecoglou-not-interested-brighton-manager-celtic/) relayed an update from [The Sunday Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/customer/subscribe/1monthfree/?WT.mc_id=tmgoff_psc_ppc_brand&gclid=CjwKCAjwsfuYBhAZEiwA5a6CDK0z4fZ1T7_YjBbOFgZeMx7bxFl-6ukWLgzWBBClqLtZGS5Br71omRoC16oQAvD_BwE) in the last 48 hours regarding Postecoglou and the possibility of a Brighton move.

They claimed that the Hoops boss is ‘not interested’ in the vacancy on the south coast and has decided he will snub any approach.

### The Verdict: Brilliant news

Several Celtic supporters may have been slightly worried when they heard the news linking Brighton with a move for Postecoglou, however, knowing he is not keen on a move south will be welcome news for everyone associated with Celtic.

The 57-year-old has transformed the Hoops over the last 12 months and appears to only have just got started at Parkhead, so hopefully, Brighton won’t try their luck with a formal approach and Celtic officials may potentially want to discuss a new long-term deal with Postecoglou following the recent speculation.
