# Celtic: Danny Mills addresses David Moyes Parkhead links

**[David Moyes](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/celtic-news/celtic-dean-jones-addresses-moyes-links/) has been [linked](https://www.givemesport.com/1657943-celtic-exclusive-david-moyes-sounded-out-for-vacant-managerial-role) with the vacant Celtic managerial post recently, and now the West Ham manager’s [friend](https://www.footballinsider247.com/mills-delivers-two-word-verdict-on-moyes-landing-celtic-job-after-reported-approach-made/) Danny Mills has given his thoughts on the possibility of Moyes moving to Parkhead.**

According to [Give Me Sport](https://www.givemesport.com/1657943-celtic-exclusive-david-moyes-sounded-out-for-vacant-managerial-role), Moyes has emerged as a candidate to replace Neil Lennon, with the Hoops reportedly keen on a possible switch.

### Moyes’ Celtic move addressed

Talking exclusively to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/mills-delivers-two-word-verdict-on-moyes-landing-celtic-job-after-reported-approach-made/), Mills was asked whether his friend would be tempted by a move back north, to which he simply said: “No chance.”

Mills went on to add: “He could have European football at West Ham. It takes you a while to build things and it’s a complete rebuild project at Celtic and the expectancy levels will be very high.

“He doesn’t need that job. They need David Moyes but David Moyes doesn’t need Celtic.”

### Transfer Tavern take

Moyes has worked his magic at West Ham over the last 12 months, taking them from a side narrowly avoiding relegation to flirting with the possibility of playing Champions League football next season.

On that basis, you can see why the Hoops have [sounded him out](https://www.givemesport.com/1657943-celtic-exclusive-david-moyes-sounded-out-for-vacant-managerial-role) as a possible Lennon successor.

However, based on Mills’ latest comments, who seemingly knows Moyes well, he can’t see a move back to Scotland materialising in the near future; and should the Hammers finish in the top four of the Premier League, the task to lure Moyes to Celtic Park could, in our view, become even harder.
