# Celtic: Fans believe Scott Sinclair deserves more game time after Scottish League Cup performance

**Scott Sinclair sent a clear message to Neil Lennon last night after netting in Celtic’s 5-0 thrashing of Partick Thistle in the Scottish League Cup Quarter-Finals. He scored the last of the night after coming on as a substitute and [his manager said he looked ‘very strong’.](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/scott-sinclair-given-celtic-hope-20208658)**

The Englishman’s celebration seemed like a release of frustration after the torrid time he’s had since Lennon took over from Brendan Rodgers in February. He’s made just one Scottish Premiership appearance this season and [that was for just 11 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/leistungsdaten/spieler/31552), so he’s got to take any opportunity he gets to become part of the manager’s plans.

Despite the lack of game time, he’s still a fan favourite considering [the role he played](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/31552/plus/0/trainer_id/1366/verein/371) in Rodgers’ record-breaking seasons at the club, and that’s no surprise. When their official Twitter account posted a photo of Sinclair’s goal celebration after the game, fans made their love for Sinclair clear.

> Has so much to offer. Creates and scores goals and always puts a shift in. Hope this keeps him in the matchday squad for Saturday. Far too much quality to be watching from the stands. Good man Scotty made up for you🍀

> Brilliant to see, it’s a joke the way Lennon is treating him. Easily 15+ goals a season
