# Celtic: Fans buzzing as Fraser Forster reportedly plans to sign permanent deal

**Loads of Celtic fans are going wild over some transfer news on Twitter, as Carl Anka, The Athletic’s Southampton reporter, claims Fraser Forster plans to take a pay-cut to sign for Celtic permanently.**

According to Anka, [via @celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1231293163475697667), Forster wants to turn his loan stay at Parkhead into a permanent move this summer, and is even willing to accept reduced wages to make it happen. The chances of him staying in Scotland are “pretty good”, [reports Anka](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1231293163475697667).

The 31 year-old signed for the club on loan last summer, five years after moving to the south coast for around [£11m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fraser-forster/profil/spieler/52570)  – he is now valued at £7.2m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fraser-forster/profil/spieler/52570). Since returning, he has reminded everyone why he was such a popular figure before his departure, producing a cup final performance that will live long in the memory in the 1-0 win over Rangers back in December.

Fans have been going crazy over the news on social media, as you can see in the Twitter reactions down below…
