# Celtic: Fans call for Karamoko Dembele to start against CFR Cluj

**Plenty of Celtic fans have been calling for Karamoko Dembele to be named in the team for their concluding Europa League group match tomorrow night.**

[Herald Scotland](https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/18094306.karamoko-dembele-trains-celtic-first-team-ahead-cluj-europa-league-clash/?ref=rss) reported that the 16-year-old trained with Neil Lennon’s first team ahead of their clash against CFR Cluj in Romania.

With the Hoops [already assured of top spot in Group E](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/newsid=2629719.html?iv=true) and [facing another five matches before the end of December](https://www.celticfc.net/fixtures/first), Lennon could decide to rest some senior players and give game-time to youngsters and fringe players tomorrow.

Dembele has made [one senior appearance](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karamoko-dembele/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/466602) for Celtic so far, [coming on for the second half](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48242024) of their final Premiership game against Hearts last season, and he was also an [unused member of the matchday squad](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48318590) when they beat the Edinburgh club to win the Scottish Cup a week later.

Lennon has previously lauded the potential of the teenager, describing him as “the type of player that you want at Celtic” and adding that he “gets the crowd off their feet with his football intelligence”. \[[via BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48330398)\]
