# Celtic: Fans call for Neil Lennon to play Marian Shved more often after comments from Hoops boss

**A number of Celtic fans have urged Neil Lennon to practice what he has been preaching about rarely-seen Hoops winger Marian Shved after [@celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1216650420178817024) on Twitter posted comments from the manager.**

Speaking about the 22-year-old from the mid-season training camp in Dubai (as per [The Scotsman](https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/celtic/marian-shved-a-slow-burner-but-neil-lennon-is-tipping-celtic-winger-to-explode-onto-scottish-football-scene-1-5073777)), Lennon said: “He’s doing good. He’s training well. He’s looking lively and has been a wee bit of a bonus this week. It’s an opportunity to just explode onto it. Shved has only played twice for Celtic so far this season, scoring in a 20-minute substitute appearance against Nomme Kalju in Champions League qualifying and most recently getting 15 minutes off the bench in the 6-0 win over Ross County in October. That was also the last time when the Ukrainian made a matchday squad, with just four other squad inclusions since the start of the current campaign. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marian-shved/leistungsdaten/spieler/359247)\]

Shved was signed by Celtic a year ago before being loaned back to Karpaty Lviv for the rest of 2018/19, as per [celticfc.net](https://www.celticfc.net/news/15682). Back in August, Lennon told the [Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/marian-shved-absence-explained-celtic-18990487) that the 22-year-old “needs to up his tempo and his work” in order to get more game-time at Parkhead, something that has rarely been granted to him, although the Celtic manager is now proclaiming a different tune.

In response to Lennon’s comments, these Celtic fans on Twitter have called on the Hoops manager to play Shved more regularly:
