# Celtic: Fans call on club to delete tweet about Odsonne Edouard

**Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has continued his exceptional start to his France under-21 career with two more goals in last night’s 5-0 thrashing of Azerbaijan in qualification for the 2021 European finals.**

He needed less than two minutes to open the scoring in Calais and added another in the 36th minute, with the home side scoring three more in a comprehensive victory. \[[via UEFA.com](https://www.uefa.com/under21/season=2021/matches/round=2001101/match=2026509/?iv=true)\]

As noted by [@CelticFC](https://twitter.com/CelticFC/status/1182397420803690502) on Twitter, Edouard has now hit six goals in just three appearances for the French under-21 side.

It maintained his record of hitting a double in every game for the France under-21s, having also scored twice on his debut against Albania and struck two more against Czech Republic last month. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/344152)\]

The 21-year-old has been very prolific in his time at Celtic, with [nine goals to his name already this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/leistungsdaten/spieler/344152) and [42 in total across 98 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/344152) for the club.

Just this week, [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/celtic-to-open-edouard-talks-after-international-break/) reported that the Hoops were set to offer Edouard a new £30,000-a-week deal to fend off other suitors, with the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7470927/Serie-giants-Napoli-plotting-30m-bid-Celtics-Odsonne-Edouard.html) claiming that Napoli were lining up a £30m swoop.
