# Celtic: Fans complain about Lewis Morgan after his goal against AIK

**Celtic qualified for the group stage of the Europa League in emphatic fashion with a [4-1 win away to AIK](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49498377) last night, sealing a [6-1 aggregate triumph](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49498377) against the Swedish champions.**

The Hoops’ comprehensive victory was rounded off on the stroke of stoppage time by Lewis Morgan, with the club’s official Twitter channel [@CelticFC](https://twitter.com/CelticFC/status/1167147753522257925) excitedly notifying followers of the goal when it was scored.

The 22-year-old, who came on as a 70th-minute substitute for Mikey Johnston, coolly dispatched a close-range header to the AIK net from James Forrest’s intricate cross to the back post to put the finishing touch to Celtic’s victory. \[[via BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49498377)\]

That was Morgan’s [first goal for the club in his 23rd appearance](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lewis-morgan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/311351), [10 of which have come this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lewis-morgan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/311351) after a [loan spell at Sunderland in the second half of the 2018/19 campaign](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47071216).

The winger had faced criticism recently from ex-Celtic player Jackie McNamara, who said of his [substitute appearance in the Champions League defeat to CFR Cluj](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3232129): “I think he’s given them a chance already to be honest. He gave a chance to Morgan there and I don’t think he did a lot when he came on.” \[[via Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/didnt-do-a-lot-exclusive-mcnamara-claims-celtic-attacker-has-failed-to-repay-lennon-faith/)\]

These Celtic fans on Twitter also seemed unimpressed with Morgan despite his goal last night:
