# Celtic: Fans confused as John Guidetti is linked with a return to the club

**A lot of Celtic fans cannot believe the latest news on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/celticdiscord/status/1250805756103966720?s=20) linking John Guidetti with a return to the club.**

The tweets shows a report from a paper in Sweden saying he will rejoin the club in the summer in a deal that is worth around two million euros, but many are unsure as to whether it is a reliable source.

The Swedish striker had a loan period at the Scottish side in the 2014/15 campaign and made 35 appearances, scoring 15 goals and picking up eleven assists, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/john-guidetti/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/98596). He also won the title during his time at the club as well as the Scottish League Cup.

Even though he had a good goalscoring record, some fans clearly don’t have great memories of the player, with one saying ‘he wouldn’t even be second choice’.

The forward now sees himself at Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/john-guidetti/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/98596), but has only managed five appearances, scoring one goal along the way.

Here is what fans had to say following the tweet:

> Guidetti and Roberts 😂 If this was remotely true, they’d be checking Peter Lawwell’s temperature
