# Celtic: Fans forgive Christopher Jullien after nearly scoring at the wrong end against Hibernian

**It was business as usual for Celtic as they maintained their [two-point lead](https://www.skysports.com/scottish-premier-table/2019) at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a win over Hibernian on Sunday – though they could have been in for a nervy finish if Christopher Jullien had headed into his own net late on.**

With the French centre-back’s near-mishap ending up being one of Hibs’ [best chances](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/12/15/celtic-regain-top-spot-straightforward-victory-hibs/) as Fraser Forster spared his blushes, the 26-year-old was able to laugh about the incident on Twitter following the result:

> Another good W in the bag. Let’s keep the good work. 🍀👊🏽 By the way it was a pass to my goalkeeper ( i trust him) 😂🤦🏽‍♂️\

Fans were on the same page as their recent cup final hero, with many joking with the defender that he was merely keeping Forster ‘on his toes’, as one fan put it.

It is clear that spirits are high following their Old Firm [cup glory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50672183) of the previous week – and with the team responding well to their slight setback after losing in the [Europa League](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50672297) on Thursday, the responses to Jullien’s performance at the weekend are a sure sign that the fans are well behind the team as they look to stave off Rangers in the race for the title:

> You have both teams to score on your football coupon the day?\
