# Celtic: Fans happy with getting St Johnstone in Scottish Cup quarter-final draw

**Plenty of Celtic fans reacted with satisfaction to the draw that they were handed for the [quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup](https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/william-hill-scottish-cup-sixth-round-draw-concluded/?rid=2107).**

The club’s official Twitter channel [@CelticFC](https://twitter.com/CelticFC/status/1226540231463178241) informed supporters that the Hoops will be away to St Johnstone in the next round of the competition after [defeating Clyde 3-0](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51345413) on Sunday to advance to the last eight.

Neil Lennon’s men are bidding to win the Scottish Cup for the [fourth season in succession](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/pokalhistorie/verein/371), having not been on the losing side in the tournament since their [penalty shoot-out defeat to Rangers](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/pokalhistorie/verein/371) in 2016, and they have an excellent recent record against the Perth-based outfit.

The teams’ two meetings this season have ended in 7-0 and 3-0 wins for Celtic, the latter coming at McDiarmid Park two weeks ago when all three goals were [scored in the first 26 minutes](https://www.skysports.com/football/st-jstone-vs-celtic/411321), while the Hoops have won the last seven matches between the teams and are on a 14-match unbeaten run in games between the pair. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-fc/bilanzdetail/verein/371/wettbewerb_id//gegner_id/2578/saison_id//heim_gast//datum_von/-/datum_bis/-/day/0/land_id/0)\]

Although ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton has predicted a tricky visit to Tommy Wright’s team on the weekend of February 29th and March 1st (as per [scottishfa.co.uk](https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/william-hill-scottish-cup-sixth-round-draw-concluded/?rid=2107)), these Hoops fans on Twitter seemed quite happy to be drawn against the Saints:
