# Celtic: Fans hoping Lewis Morgan will leave amid Inter Miami interest

**Celtic winger Lewis Morgan could be on his way out of the club this month amid interest from a [new Major League Soccer outfit](https://news.stv.tv/sport/celtic-accept-inter-miami-bid-for-winger-lewis-morgan/?top).**

On Thursday, the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7869329/Inter-Miami-step-pursuit-Lewis-Morgan-ask-Celtic-permission-talk-winger.html?ito=amp_twitter_share-related) reported that David Beckham’s club Inter Miami had requested permission to speak to the Hoops about the possible signing of the 23-year-old, as noted by [@celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1215283182846849024) on Twitter.

[STV](https://news.stv.tv/sport/celtic-accept-inter-miami-bid-for-winger-lewis-morgan/?top) subsequently reported that the Scottish champions have accepted a six-figure bid from the Florida-based club for Morgan, who has left Celtic’s mid-season training camp in Dubai to discuss the potential move to USA with his family. According to [STV](https://news.stv.tv/sport/celtic-accept-inter-miami-bid-for-winger-lewis-morgan/?top), the bid tabled by Inter Miami is significantly higher than the £250,000 Celtic paid to St Mirren to sign him two years ago.

Morgan has failed to make much of an impact at Parkhead, with just [two goals in 31 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lewis-morgan/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/311351) since [joining the Hoops in January 2018](https://www.celticfc.net/news/13784), while he was [loaned out to Sunderland](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47071216) for the second half of last season.
