# Celtic: Fans hoping that Hoops can complete deal for Ismaila Soro after positive update

**Celtic’s attempts to bring in Ismaila Soro from Israeli club Bnei Yehuda seem to have taken a significant step closer to fruition, with [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/medical-scheduled-celtic-agree-terms-of-another-deal/) reporting that the Ivorian midfielder is set to have a medical at Parkhead in the coming days.**

According to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/medical-scheduled-celtic-agree-terms-of-another-deal/), the 21-year-old’s club have accepted a transfer offer from the Hoops, with the two clubs now in advanced talks to finalise the deal. The news was subsequently shared by Celtic-focused Twitter channel [@celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1217563088926466048) to its followers.

The Ivorian now seems close to becoming the Hoops’ [second signing this month](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-fc/transfers/verein/371/plus/0?saison_id=2019&pos=&detailpos=&w_s=w) after the [arrival of Polish striker Patryk Klimala](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51085814) and these Celtic fans on Twitter were pleased to hear the positive update on Soro, with one fan hoping that he will emulate [ex-Hoops midfielder](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/victor-wanyama/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/77760) Victor Wanyama:

> That’s good signing. He’s what we needed! I feel that he would run through brick walls, fears of no-one, also he can move the ball forward quickly as well which is something we’re really lacking with Broony (no offence!) nowadays
