# Celtic: Fans were optimistic about the way Neil Lennon set up team to face Rangers

**Celtic’s game against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership was as important as it’s been since the Gers were thrown out of the top division in 2012. [Celtic had won the last two encounters](https://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=512&team2_id=2104&teamTabs=h2h) before Sunday’s face-off, and their fans were confident before the game.**

The Hoops started the day [five points above their arch rivals](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjIz6bc49rmAhXNTxUIHXT1Aw8QFjABegQIAhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Fscottish-premiership%2Ftable&usg=AOvVaw2hanuxXwMbD05QNgFxXXb3) having [won their last 11 games](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/celtic/scores-fixtures/2019-10) in the league. Neil Lennon’s side included James Forrest down the right side, who’d scored [eight in 19 Premiership appearances](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/81481/Show/James-Forrest), and 20-year-old Michael Johnston, who had just two previous starts in the league before facing the Gers.

The club’s official Twitter account posted the line-up before the match and loads of fans were buzzing about it. They were pleased to see players being set-up to play in their favoured position, [like Forrest](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=16&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjw8KPa5NrmAhUlQkEAHe6PDlwQFjAPegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.transfermarkt.co.uk%2Fjames-forrest%2Fprofil%2Fspieler%2F84992&usg=AOvVaw1jhLnKfCXXmAA-y2NMVXuO), and certainly liked the all-round look of the side.

***Celtic fans, would you have changed anything from Neil Lennon’s starting 11 on Sunday?***
