# Celtic fans on Twitter would do anything to permanently sign Benkovic

**Filip Benkovic is showing everyone at Parkhead just how good he is. The Croatian centre-back was on the scoresheet yesterday as The Hoops thumped the league leaders Hearts 5-0 in Glasgow and now the fans want him permanently.**

> Filip Benkovic: “First of all, I’m very happy and proud to get the win. We did an amazing job. I’m very happy for this big win and now looking forward to the next game.” [#CELHEA](https://twitter.com/hashtag/CELHEA?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) [pic.twitter.com/N2PIgcmmBU](https://t.co/N2PIgcmmBU)

The young Croatian centre-back joined Leicester City from Dinamo Zagreb for a sum of just over £10 million over the summer and in the same window he was loaned out to Parkhead so he could get some first-team football. However, now that he’s showing his class at the club, the fans are desperate to see him become a permanent signing, no matter how much it would cost.

Much like with Patrick Roberts when he was on loan from Manchester City, Benkovic is yet to make a name for himself in England and his move north of the border has given a great opportunity to show those at Leicester what he’s capable of in a risk-free environment for the club. In the case of the 21-year-old defender, it looks like Leicester will be wanting him in their first-team next season, especially if he can keep up his current form for the rest of the season.

You can read The Bhoys’ verdict on Benkovic here:

> This is going to be another begging session like Paddy Roberts come the summer. Sign him.

The Hoops are desperate to sign Benkovic and would do anything to secure his services permanently.
