# Celtic fans react as Sutton moots Neil Lennon return

**In a recent column for the [*Daily Record*](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/brendan-rodgers-neil-lennon-celtic-13438568), Chris Sutton has suggested that Neil Lennon is the best man for the Celtic job if Brendan Rodgers does leave in the coming years as he is continually [linked](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45465028) to return to a notable side England. Sutton’s thoughts come ahead of tomorrow’s encounter between Rodgers’ Celtic and Lennon’s Hibernian which promises to be a captivating tie, let’s see what other fans make of the ex-Celtic striker’s thoughts.**

> My [@Record\_Sport](https://twitter.com/Record_Sport?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) column on going for the 10. If Rodgers does get his head turned from down south then Neil Lennon is undoubtedly the man to lead Celtic again. Your thoughts?? [https://t.co/RlS6a9h9OG](https://t.co/RlS6a9h9OG)

These Celtic fans would be against the idea of Lennon returning.

> You forgetting how bad the football ended up under Lennon? Dire

> Never go back. He has had a lot of lows at Celtic Inverness, Utrecht etc. If Rodgers goes -and I hope he doesn’t- we need someone fresh again with new ideas.

Both a Hibs and a Celtic fan seemed to be in agreeance that he doesn’t need to return to Celtic and that Lennon will look elsewhere after Hibs.

However, a Norwich fan who has wanted Lennon in the past felt that he would be the perfect man to manage the Bhoys.

Other fans felt it was disrespectful to be discussing this a day before the fixture.

> Both managers are happy in their roles so this article doesn’t even have to be written.

> Not one of your best Chris. I think we should concentrate on getting the 8th title and i'd say that while I agree with you on how good a fit Lennon is at Celtic, it's a bit unfair on Hibernian to write this.
