# Celtic: Fans react to Christopher Jullien’s comments on Alfredo Morelos’ attempted provocation

**Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has casually dismissed the attempts of striker Alfredo Morelos to wind him up during last weekend’s Glasgow derby.**

The Twitter channel of Clyde 1 football phone-in show Superscoreboard ([@ClydeSSB](https://twitter.com/clydessb/status/1169281725408718849?s=21)) posted remarks from Jullien in which he said that he enjoyed Morelos’ attempted provocation at Ibrox last Sunday.

According to [planetradio.co.uk](https://planetradio.co.uk/clyde/sport/football-news/christopher-jullien-takes-trash-talk-from-morelos-in-his-stride/), Morelos appeared to be looking for a reaction from the 26-year-old when he trod on his foot while waiting for a free kick to be taken, but Jullien shrugged it off as “[trash talk](https://planetradio.co.uk/clyde/sport/football-news/christopher-jullien-takes-trash-talk-from-morelos-in-his-stride/)” and “[part of the game](https://planetradio.co.uk/clyde/sport/football-news/christopher-jullien-takes-trash-talk-from-morelos-in-his-stride/)“. He was even quoted as telling Morelos “[I like that so keep going](https://planetradio.co.uk/clyde/sport/football-news/christopher-jullien-takes-trash-talk-from-morelos-in-his-stride/)“.

The striker repeatedly fell foul to indiscipline last season, being [sent off no fewer than five occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/338962) – one of which came after elbowing Scott Brown in a 2-1 derby defeat to Celtic in March, as reported by [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8759079/rangers-alfredo-morelos-sent-off-fifth-celtic/).

These Celtic fans on Twitter hailed Jullien and taunted Morelos following Sunday’s derby:

> As the stamp on Jullien’s foot was clearly deliberate has the compliance officer cited morales for violent conduct yet, and if not why not?
