**New Celtic signing Ciaran Dickson netted a [debut](https://twitter.com/CelticFCB/status/1434162263259295747) goal for the club’s B team on Saturday.**

As to be expected, a number of Hoops supporters were quick to give their reaction to the update on social media.

Dickson, who was [released](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ciaran-dickson-among-10-rangers-20769076) by arch-rivals Rangers in the summer just months after signing a new [contract](https://www.rangers.co.uk/article/ciaran-dickson-signs-contract-extension/1XNCI5eEDUCb167Y2aLIVC) at Ibrox, was [pictured](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/7633165/rangers-ciaran-dickson-celtic/) online holding up a Celtic shirt at Parkhead.

The Hoops didn’t announce Dickson’s arrival on what was a busy Tuesday, but he made his first appearance for the club against Morton in the SPFL Trust Trophy on Saturday, representing Celtic’s B team.

The 19-year-old wore the number [10](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58386542) shirt and scored in the [29th](https://twitter.com/CelticFCB/status/1434162263259295747) minute with a long-range effort, but while he couldn’t prevent his new side from losing [3-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58386542) to Morton, his first goal had a number of Hoops fans talking.
