# Celtic: Fans react to clip of Moussa Dembele goal

**Amid the international scoring exploits of Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard for the France under-21 team in recent days, with [four goals in two games](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/odsonne-edouard-scores-france-again-19916056), another French forward who has worn the Hoops’ colours was recalled on Twitter.**

Celtic fan [@1888JT](https://twitter.com/1888jt/status/1171064907854491648?s=21) on Twitter posted a video of Moussa Dembele’s [goal against Rangers from the 2016/17 Betfred Cup semi-finals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/2763606), describing him as the “[best striker we’ve had since \[Henrik\] Larsson](https://twitter.com/1888jt/status/1171064907854491648?s=21)“.

> Beautiful goal, a truely world class goal, from a world class player, that was sold well below his real value.\
> Best striker we’ve had since Larsson, but Edouard is developing to the same level. [pic.twitter.com/zT7QVRn7n5](https://t.co/zT7QVRn7n5)

That goal from Dembele, a [deft flick to beat goalkeeper Matt Gilks](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/2763606), was one of [51 that the France under-21 international scored in 94 appearances for Celtic](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moussa-dembele/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/229004) between 2016 and 2018, having been sold to Lyon for £19.7m last year, as reported by [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45377409).

Dembele’s scoring return for the Hoops was one goal every 1.84 games. Edouard currently has [39 goals in 92 Celtic appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/344152), a return of one goal every 2.36 games.

Dembele, now 23, has gone on to score [23 goals in 49 games for Lyon](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moussa-dembele/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/229004) (one goal every 2.13 games) and these Celtic fans on Twitter looked back on their former striker with much fondness:

> And he’s not even peaked yet, when he does he’ll be one of the best in the world believe me
