# Celtic: Fans would be willing to see Kristoffer Ajer sold amid reports of £22.5m asking price

**Defender Kristoffer Ajer has been linked with many clubs recently and it seems that a lot of Celtic fans would not mind him being sold as long as it is for the price that has been quoted in some reports.**

It was reported by [90min.com](https://www.90min.com/posts/leicester-lead-man-city-wolves-everton-european-trio-in-pursuit-of-celtic-defender-kristoffer-ajer-01e8s3zpax92) that Premier League side Leicester City were leading to race to sign the centre-back, although they face a lot of competition from Manchester City, Wolves, Everton, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.

However, the recent news from [Calciomercato](https://t.co/mQuc8dWsrL?amp=1), via[celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1265969721729523712?s=20), suggests that whilst Leicester, PSG and Real Madrid remain interested, AC Milan are ready to step up their pursuit of the centre-back with the Hoops demanding €25m (£22.5m).

It is understandable to see why so many clubs want to sign the 22 year-old. He has won [five domestic cups and three league titles](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kristoffer-ajer/erfolge/spieler/328658) since joining Celtic and has recorded [70 clean sheets in 129 games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kristoffer-ajer/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/328658/verein/371) for the club, highlighting how hard he is to get past for opposition attackers when at his best.

For £22.5m, though, the Hoops could bring in a few players to strengthen their squad as they aim to become the first team in Scottish football to win 10 successive Premiership titles, via[talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/537546/celtic-vs-rangers-who-has-won-more-scottish-premiership-titles/). Also, there has been widespread criticism of his decline in form this season from many Celtic fans, via [Glasgow Live](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-kristoffer-ajer-transfer-news-17909598).

Here is what these Hoops fans had to say following the transfer update:

> TBH would he really be much of a loss ? He’s vastly overrated – keeps making the same mistakes. If we get silly money for him I’m sure we could buy somebody better. Your Centre half SHOULD be able to header a ball at least

> Gutting if he left, but 25mil with a wee add on would be decent considering circumstances
