# Celtic: Fans rave over historic treble treble achievement following club post

**On this day last year, Celtic did the unthinkable as they won the [treble treble](https://twitter.com/CelticFC/status/1264851200047845378?s=20), and a lot of fans recalled this remarkable achievement following a post by the club on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/CelticFC/status/1264851200047845378?s=20).**

To win all three domestic trophies available in the 2016/17 campaign was quite a feat, but to then repeat this again not once but twice more to claim every major trophy in Scottish football for three years running was a history-making feat because it was the first and only time that a club in Scotland have managed it, as per [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/05/26/celtics-treble-treble-success-opens-comparisons-debate/).

It was a phenomenal achievement and they nearly slipped up in the Scottish Cup final against Hearts a year ago today, as their [opponents took the lead](https://news.stv.tv/sport/1438032-celtic-seal-treble-treble-with-cup-final-win-over-hearts?top). However, [prolific striker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/344152) Odsonne Edouard saved the day with a brace to give the Hoops the 2-1 victory and claim the treble treble.

Here is what these Celtic fans said following the tweet about the historic victory:
