# Celtic: Fans rejoice as club dish out hammering to woeful Aberdeen

**Celtic couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend their Sunday afternoon than a stroll in the Aberdeen sunshine after a [demanding mid-week fixture against Lazio](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50083556) in the Europa League.**

The Bhoys coasted to a [4-0 victory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50113518) with all the goals coming in a severely one-sided first half.

Neil Lennon returned Jeremie Frimpong to the starting line-up, who has now played two league games for the first team this term, registering [1 goal and 1 assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jeremie-frimpong/profil/spieler/484547) in the process.

Odsonne Edouard was again a top performer and his solo goal in the first half opened the flood gates. Edouard’s recent stunning form proving once again that the [£9m investment](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/11405737/odsonne-edouard-signs-four-year-deal-with-celtic) was worth every penny.

Celtic fans took to twitter to bask in the result and celebrate their dominance over their once considered “challengers”.

Have a look at what they have had to say on their club’s 4-0 win against Aberdeen below…
