# Celtic: Fans rejoice as Hoops surpass goals tally from 2018/19 with 3 months of the season remaning

**Plenty of Celtic fans have been gushing over a statistic posted by [@celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1228260279441592320) on Twitter outlining that Neil Lennon’s side have already surpassed their goals tally from the whole of last season with three months of the current campaign still remaining.**

The Hoops have scored [127 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/spielplan/verein/371/saison_id/2019) in their 46 matches so far this term (2.76 per game), with 77 in the Premiership, 16 in the Champions League qualifiers, 16 in Europa League qualifying and group stage, 13 in the Betfred Cup and five in the Scottish Cup. In 2019/20, Celtic have hit seven and six goals in one match apiece, as well as scoring five on five separate occasions and four goals in a further six games. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/spielplan/verein/371/saison_id/2019)\]

Last season they found the net [121 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-fc/spielplan/verein/371/plus/0?saison_id=2018) in [63 matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-fc/leistungsdaten/verein/371/plus/0?reldata=%262018) (1.92 goals per game), made up of 77 in the Premiership, 11 in Champions League qualifying, 10 in Europa League qualifying and proper, eight in the Betfred Cup and 15 in the Scottish Cup (as per [TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-fc/spielplan/verein/371/plus/0?saison_id=2018)). It has actually taken the Hoops 18 fewer games this term to surpass their goals tally from 2018/19, having already done so prior to Wednesday’s 5-0 win over Hearts.

These Celtic fans on Twitter lapped up the statistic that was quoted by [@celticbible](https://twitter.com/celticbible/status/1228260279441592320), with one fan understandably labelling it as “incredible”:
