The [Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/scott-sinclair-set-preston-celtic-21228008) reported on Tuesday that the 30-year-old has flown back from Celtic’s mid-season training camp in Dubai to enter discussions with English Championship club Preston about a possible transfer, with Sinclair set to bring an end to his time with the Hoops.

The [Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/scott-sinclair-set-preston-celtic-21228008) quoted a source as saying: “It looks as if a move at this stage would be in the best interests of all parties.”

Sinclair [came to the club in 2016](https://www.celticfc.net/news/11029) and [scored in his first five league games](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/10584623/celtic-boss-brendan-rodgers-hails-scott-sinclair-after-he-enters-record-books), becoming the [first Celtic player to manage the feat in 84 years](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/10584623/celtic-boss-brendan-rodgers-hails-scott-sinclair-after-he-enters-record-books).

His first season in Glasgow ended with him being named [Celtic’s Player of the Year](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/10860144/scott-sinclair-says-time-at-celtic-is-happiest-he-has-been-in-his-career) and [Players’ Player of the Year](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/10860144/scott-sinclair-says-time-at-celtic-is-happiest-he-has-been-in-his-career), netting [25 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/31552) in that 2016/17 campaign.

He won [three consecutive domestic trebles](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/erfolge/spieler/31552) with the Hoops and scored [62 times in 167 games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/31552) for the club but he has barely featured this season, with just [seven appearances in total](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/leistungsdaten/spieler/31552) and only [one since the end of September](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-sinclair/leistungsdaten/spieler/31552).

These Celtic fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment at the winger’s likely departure from Parkhead, with some feeling that he has been badly treated by Hoops manager Neil Lennon and another believing he is a better winger than James Forrest:
