# Celtic: Fans show their love for Christopher Jullien

**Unsurprisingly, plenty of Celtic fans have reacted with glee to a tweet posted by Christopher Jullien following his heroics in Sunday’s Betfred Cup final.**

The defender scored the only goal of the game on the hour mark with a volley from Ryan Christie’s free kick to give the Hoops their 10th consecutive domestic trophy. \[[via Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/rangers-vs-celtic/421184)\]

Afterwards, he took to his Twitter account [@Chri6ViF](https://twitter.com/Chri6ViF/status/1204052597604311041) to give thanks to his team-mates and the Celtic fans, with a special mention for Fraser Forster after the goalkeeper [denied Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos on multiple occasions](https://www.skysports.com/football/rangers-vs-celtic/421184) at Hampden Park.

Jullien only [came to Glasgow last summer](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48770628) but has already enjoyed some memorable days in a Hoops shirt, with his Betfred Cup final winner following on from a [late winning goal against Lazio](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/50083556) in the Europa League in October.

The 26-year-old, who is [contracted to the club until 2023](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christopher-jullien/leistungsdaten/spieler/201737), has earned praise from a few ex-Celtic players in his short time at Parkhead.

Jackie McNamara told [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/fantastic-exclusive-mcnamara-blown-away-by-celtic-player-after-slow-start-at-parkhead/) that the centre-back has been getting “better and better”, while Chris Sutton said in a [Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reasons-celtic-fans-neil-lennon-20130986) column that he has “the makings of a leader”.

These Celtic fans lapped up Jullien’s post-match tweet, with some fervently hoping that he stays at the club for many more years:
