# Celtic: Fans were happy to see Scott Brown being booked against Rennes

**Celtic will be without midfielder Scott Brown for their concluding Europa League match away to CFR Cluj in two weeks’ time.**

The 34-year-old was booked in last night’s 3-1 win over Rennes at Parkhead, with his [third yellow card of the competition](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-brown/leistungsdaten/spieler/12688) landing him with a [one-game suspension](https://www.skysports.com/football/celtic-vs-rennes/420540).

However, Celtic have the luxury of knowing that there is nothing at stake in the match for which Brown is suspended, with their victory over the French side [ensuring that they would finish top of Group E](https://www.skysports.com/football/celtic-vs-rennes/420540).
