# Celtic fans will have to deal with some rare bad news this season on transfer front

**Though there’s not been much to moan about for the Celtic fans celebrating for months on end in the Transfer Tavern, a few have disappointed looks on their faces today.**

That’s because, according to *[HITC](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/10/por-brighton-agree-deal-for-celtic-starlet-kerr-do-not-publish-y/),* the Bhoys could be about to lose a highly rated young talent to the Premier League. According to their [report](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/10/por-brighton-agree-deal-for-celtic-starlet-kerr-do-not-publish-y/), newly-promoted Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed a deal to bring Josh Kerr to England.

The 19-year-old is [believed](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/10/por-brighton-agree-deal-for-celtic-starlet-kerr-do-not-publish-y/) to be held in high regard by the Hoops after arriving from Hamilton in 2013, starring the club’s youth teams. Able to operate at either right-back or in central defence, he penned professional terms in 2014, though is yet to break into the first-team.

As a result, it seems the Seagulls have been able to persuade him to move to the opposite end of Britain. It’s [thought](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/10/por-brighton-agree-deal-for-celtic-starlet-kerr-do-not-publish-y/) Kerr will link up with the club’s U23 squad before moving up to Chris Hughton’s senior squad and our resident Celtic fans are gutted to see a promising young Scot depart.

**Thoughts?**
