### The Verdict: Will Ange sign a new ‘keeper?

Ange Postecoglou has [Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain, Conor Hazard and Ross Doohan as goalkeeper options at this moment in time](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-fc/kader/verein/371/plus/0/galerie/0?saison_id=2021), so it’ll be interesting to see if he signs a new shot-stopper before the window closes.

[Mat Ryan emerged as a target](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/12331006/mat-ryan-celtic-considering-move-for-brighton-goalkeeper) after Postecoglou’s Parkhead arrival, with the club [assessing the Hoops’ goalkeeping options](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/12331006/mat-ryan-celtic-considering-move-for-brighton-goalkeeper), however, [Celtic missed out on the Aussie to Real Sociedad](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-fc-transfer-news-mat-ryan-real-sociedad-brighton-b945396.html).

Who knows, van Crombrugge’s transfer admission could catch Celtic’s eye, especially following [Barkas’ error against FC Midtjylland earlier in the week](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/sport/football/celtic-1-midtjylland-1-vasilias-21102687).

[Postecoglou defended Barkas following his first game in charge](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/7436773/celtic-barkas-aek-postecoglou-blunder-keeper/), but the Hoops’ goalkeeping situation could be one to keep a close eye on over the coming weeks.
