# Celtic: Hoops interested in Jean-Pierre Nsame

**Celtic are thought to be interested in a summer move for Young Boys striker Jean-Pierre Nsame.**

That’s according to a report from [TEAMtalk](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-liverpool-arsenal-leeds-have-eyes-young-boys-african-trio), who claimed that Newcastle, Southampton and West Ham have also placed the 27-year-old on their transfer wish lists.

Nsame, a [Cameroon international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jean-pierre-nsame/profil/spieler/225055), has been on fire in front of goal in recent years. He has scored [97](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jean-pierre-nsame/leistungsdaten/spieler/225055) goals in [169](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jean-pierre-nsame/leistungsdaten/spieler/225055) games for the Swiss side after joining for just [£810,000 back in 2017](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jean-pierre-nsame/transfers/spieler/225055). It now seems as if he could be on the move, though, with the [£6.3m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jean-pierre-nsame/profil/spieler/225055) marksman attracting plenty of interest from Britain.

### Transfer Tavern take

It seems as if new Celtic CEO Dominic McKay isn’t wasting any time in putting plans in place for the summer. [He arrived at Parkhead seven days ago](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/6988520/celtic-ceo-mckay-arrives-first-day/), and to us, Nsame could be a potentially ideal replacement for Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman is looking to seal a Celtic Park exit over the summer, [regardless of who comes in as the club’s new manager](https://www.footballinsider247.com/edouard-wants-out-regardless-of-new-celtic-manager-appointment/).

It looks as if Nsame certainly has the goalscoring know-how to pick up wherever Edouard leaves off, but with a number of Premier League clubs seemingly keen, the Hoops may well be forced into a bidding war.
