# Celtic could receive ‘record fees’ for Hatate, Abada and Jota

**[Celtic](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/celtic-news/) could go on to receive ‘record fees’ for the sales of Reo Hatate, Liel Abada or Jota, according to Sky Sports reporter [Anthony Joseph](https://twitter.com/AnthonyRJoseph?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor).**

### The Lowdown: Trio of transfers

The [Scottish Premiership](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/scottish-premiership-news/) giants first recruited Abada last summer before landing the signature of Hatate in January, with the 24-year-old slotting straight into Ange Postecoglou’s midfield.

Jota originally arrived on a season-long loan from Benfica in 2021/22, but has since secured his long-term future in Glasgow by putting pen to paper on a [permanent](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/12620529/jota-celtic-sign-winger-from-benfica-in-permanent-deal-after-loan-spell) deal.

### The Latest: Celtic could get huge windfall

Speaking to [GiveMeSport](https://www.givemesport.com/88069972-celtic-43k-a-week-trio-could-fetch-record-fees-at-parkhead), Joseph claimed that the Celtic trio have the ability to be sold for huge fees in the years ahead as a result of their impressive performances in the green and white stripes.

*“Because the markets that they’re selling to are getting bigger, and Celtic’s market, I know it’s not going at the same kind of level, but Celtic are able to command higher fees, and they will be able to in the future.*

*“And it wouldn’t surprise me if someone like Hatate, or even Abada, Jota, become the next record-fee received for sales.”*

### The Verdict: Abada the most likely?

If any of the three players name-checked are to leave the Hoops, you’d imagine that Abada would be the front-runner given the recent speculation surrounding him.

The forward was [linked](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/9486186/celtic-liel-abada-premier-league-transfer-speculation/) with a move to Crystal Palace over the summer and has recently [changed agents,](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/9486186/celtic-liel-abada-premier-league-transfer-speculation/) sparking more concern that he might be heading for the exit door.

With [four](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/vertragsende/verein/371/vertragsendeJahr/2026) years remaining on his contract though, Celtic hold the upper hand when it comes to selling him, so we could well see Joseph’s prediction come to fruition with a massive fee required to prise the winger away.
