# Celtic sweat on fitness of star man ahead of priceless Scottish Cup final

**Celtic fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to secure the treble this season, as supporters would love to end their season on a high note.**

Indeed, the Hoops have been dominant this season as they remain on course for the treble after securing the Scottish Premiership title and the League Cup. Although, they face a tough Motherwell side later on today in the Scottish Cup final, in a game that could send supporters into absolute frenzy if they manage to secure the victory. But, many of our local residents did receive some slightly worrying news prior to kick-off, [as according to Goal.com’s pre-match team news, Odsonne Edouard faces a race to prove his fitness](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/celtic-v-motherwell-betting-tips-latest-odds-team-news/14n3fmfh76ezr1h78zm68n6cnq).

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that his side can secure the treble against a Motherwell side that the Hoops haven’t lost to so far this season.

Sadly, striker Odsonne Edouard faces a race to prove his fitness prior to the Scottish Cup final later on today.

The Frenchman joined on a season-long loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, and since then he has managed to score an impressive 11 goals for Celtic in what has been a very successful loan spell.

**Landlord’s Verdict:**

Sadly, if Edouard fails to prove his fitness before today’s final, then Celtic may struggle to produce any quality in the final third. And, having witnessed The Steelmen’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Aberdeen in the last round, Celtic will be very wary of a dangerous Motherwell side.

Indeed, winning in the Scottish Cup final would be priceless, as the Hoops can secure the treble if they manage to beat Motherwell.
