# Celtic: These fans name their favourite Artur Boruc moment on anniversary of his signing

**It was 14 years ago yesterday that Celtic completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Artur Boruc (as per [BBC](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/4311966.stm)), who had been [on loan from Legia Warsaw](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/4675375.stm) since the summer of 2005.**

To mark the anniversary of the Poland international’s permanent capture, Celtic asked fans on Twitter for their favourite memory of the player during his time at Parkhead. \[[via @CelticFC](https://twitter.com/celticfc/status/1184724507333988352?s=21)\]

Boruc made 192 appearances for the Hoops in five seasons at the club, conceding only 173 goals and keeping 76 clean sheets. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/artur-boruc/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/15220)\]

His trophy haul at Celtic consisted of [three league titles, two League Cups and one Scottish Cup](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/artur-boruc/erfolge/spieler/15220), while he was in the team that [reached the last 16 of the Champions League in successive seasons](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/pokalhistorie/verein/371) in 2006/07 and 2007/08.

For many Celtic fans on Twitter, the standout memory of Boruc at the club was his [penalty save in the dying stages of the 1-0 win over Manchester United](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/6160910.stm) in November 2006 that secured the Hoops’ [first passage to the knockout rounds of the competition](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/pokalhistorie/verein/371).

Here are some of those responses to the club’s tweet about the goalkeeper:

> Got to be saving Louis Saha Penalty in the champions league to ensure we won 1-0 on the night thanks to a Nakamura special
