West Brom’s move for Celtic teenager Eseosa Sule has been completed, the player’s agent has confirmed.

The Lowdown: Sule profiled

Sule is just 16 years of age and is a centre-forward who signed a contract with the Scottish giants last summer. Labelled as a dynamic playmaker, who has a fantastic eye for a pass and scores every type of goal, Sule was linked with a move to the Midlands last month.

Reports suggested that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs for the teenager, and it looks as if that has now gone through.

The Latest: West Brom move

Darren McBay, Sule’s agent, took to Twitter on Monday to share a transfer update on the forward.

He posted a picture of the player with a Baggies shirt at The Hawthorns, highlighting that the delay was due to international clearance needing to be approved due to cross-border rules.

The Verdict: One for the future…

The Baggies appear to have a potential star in the making in Sule, and you’d expect he’ll go straight into the club’s academy plans following this confirmation.

West Brom already have an exciting teenage forward in their ranks in Reyes Cleary, who has scored a combined 47 goals in 57 appearances for the U18s and U21s.

He’s made six senior appearances, and should the 18-year-old progress into a first-team regular, Sule could end up taking Cleary’s spot as the attacking academy star.
