Jack Grealish has had a tough start to the season. After a move to Tottenham broke down in August it was always going to be a strange one to see how he dealt with the Championship season and the Villains will be delighted to see that he’s as happy as ever. He scored his first goal of the season on Friday against Bolton and now he looks ready to kick on and show the world what he can do.

Last season saw Grealish shining under the management of Steve Bruce and the close tutelage of John Terry. Now, though, Terry has moved up from a player to become the assistant manager whilst Bruce has departed and in his place is Dean Smith. The ex-Brentford man’s style of football certainly suits the 23-year-old and with Tammy Abraham up front linking up with Grealish, good things are on the horizon for Villa.
If the club can avoid Tottenham coming back in to poach their main man in January then they could easily set out on a promotion push. Whilst the club’s homegrown gem faltered in the Championship’s early weeks, he bagged a goal and an assist in Friday’s win, scooping the man of the match award as well, and now he’ll be de determined to make sure he’s on the scoresheet more consistently in the coming weeks, which is something every Villa fan wants to see.

Can’t believe people said he wanted to leave. If every player loved their club like he does football would be a happier place
