Interestingly, it’s understood that a number of clubs have expressed an interest in taking the defender on loan, but Villa are in pole position to land the Premier League man.
Tuanzebe made only five appearances in the Championship for Villa last season with injuries and a settled side stopping him from making more outings.
So, it looks as if Aston Villa are set to secure the services of Axel Tuanzebe on loan as they remain in pole position.
The versatile defender impressed at Villa Park towards the end of the season, but he will be hoping to enjoy an injury-free campaign if he does make the move after struggling last time out.
Indeed, after losing John Terry this summer, the Villains will be delighted to see an impressive central defender at the club if they can strike a deal.
There’s no doubt that the youngster is one of the most promising defenders in English football with a bright future ahead of him.
